A little Utopia before all the town-hopping.

After climbing Cotopaxi, I decided to stay in the adorable Papagayo Hosteria. This place is so ridiculously cute! It is in a huge converted farmhouse and the Israeli guy who owns it first made his money coming to Ecuador and starting a rose farm. So, there are fresh roses EVERYWHERE in the hosteria. Add to this beautiful gardens, a little farm and petting zoo, and the cutest live-in dogs and cat...and you have a fabulously tranquil two days!! (I was originally going to stay for just one day, but they REALLY had to twist my arm to get me to stay another)

My room...notice the fresh roses! The view of the gardens from my window. The petting zoo...The farm...Even the dogs are relaxed here! And the cat...well she was really friendly and then...she stole my french toast! The whole slice...very sad. They also really had to twist my arm to go on the 4-hour horse back ride through the beautiful farmlands around the Hosteria.

And this would be me about to pose for a picture and then stepping in a big pile of horse doo doo.
My little lady, "Rosilla"
