Got in late last night. I didn´t have any reservations anywhere, so the first hostel I went to was full. (Naturally, the cab left by the time I realized this). Thankfully, a nice Aussie girl walked me down to another hostel, where I was able to get a room for $5.60. I Had a wonderful breakfast of Cafe con Leche and jeuvos fritas and FRESH pinneapple juice and a croissant for $2.00. At this rate, I might actually stay on budget! I Explored the "Old Town" of Quito by myself today and in the main Plaza came upon a Presidential appearance! So cool! Check out the pics! Anyway, that´s all for now...hopefully I will make some friends in the Hostel tonight that I can go exploring with tomorrow!

your first hostel looks cute! i'm glad your down south safe and sound. my news for the day is that i ate at the tibetan restaurant right by your old powderhouse house. mmmmm, tibetan food. (HUGS!)
Heather I must agree, the hostel looks kinda sweet. Sarah that TV is better than the one you got back home. oh yeah by the way Sarah I got my phone but it aint on just yet. hopefully by days end.
