Now THIS is the beach!

First stop Peru: Mancora. I couldn´t have asked for a nicer place to start off my second country! In Mancora I REALLY felt like I was on vacation rather than living the backpackers life! I spent two very sunny days laying on the beach, getting sunburnt, sipping piña coladas by day and Pisco Sours by night, eating cerviche, riding horses at sunset on the beach and salsa dancing. Great. Just great...

MancoraMmmm...Piña ColadaMancora was really popular for surfing and wind surfing!Made some friends, Ana and Rachel (from Piura, Puru), at the beach...and we went out for some dancing later that night!I made the mistake of saying that I heard Pisco was from Chile and everyone went NUTS! I was shown a bottle of Peruvian Pisco and a free round of Pisco Sours were brought to the table. Hmmm. I may have to make this mistake more often!A little snack of Anticuchos (cow heart!!) before heading back in for some more dancing! These on a skewer and flame grilled. Soooooo delicious!
Yummmmmy. Cow heart!

I put this picture of me salsa dancing up solely so you can take a look at the sunburn on my back. One of the downfalls of travelling alone...you can´t reach your back with the sunscreen.
